CHIARA FERRAGNI IN HOLLYWOOD
On Monday February 3, day 2 of the Los Angeles, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival, Chiara Ferragni – along with film director Amoruso – will receive the LA Italia – Global Fashion Icon Award. The most popular new media entrepreneur (18.3 million followers on Instagram) is one of the most awaited guests of the 15th edition of the Italian festival which every year takes place in Hollywood thanks to the Institute Capri in the World and the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mibact (Dg Cinema and Audiovisual,) Intesa Sanpaolo, Rai Cinema, Rai Com, Rai Italia, Rainbow, Medusa, Iervolino Entertainment, Isaia as well as the Consulate General, Ice and the Italian Institute of Culture in Los Angeles.
LA Italia 2020 which traditionally precedes the Oscars and attracts the who’s who of the global show business in the most exciting time of the year for the entertainment industry, is a not-to-be-missed appointment for the Italian-American community residing on the West Coast. This year the festival kicked off with a tribute to Federico Fellini and the screening of the maestro’s “Casanova” starring Donald Sutherland; in the following days the festival is scheduled to celebrate Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci, with a special screening of the 10-Oscar nominee “The Irishman”, and it will also present Elisa Amoruso’s “Bellissime” and Marco Bocci’s “A Tor Bella Monaca non piove mai.”
In announcing the participation of Chiara Ferragni to the festival, Pascal Vicedomini – founder and producer of Los Angeles, Italia – underlined: ‘Chiara Ferragni incarnates the essence of the Italian excellence in the world; she is a true genius of communication who after becoming the most powerful fashion influencer in the world, went on establishing herself as a global digital entrepreneur. Her life and career are narrated in the box-office hit documentary movie directed by Elisa Amoruso: “Chiara Ferragni – Unposted,” a work which stands as a symbol of the greatness of two Italian female artists – Amoruso and Ferragni.
The guests of the 15th Los Angeles, Italia Festival include: performers Remo Girone (co-protagonist of “LeMans66,” the movie running for Best Picture at the Academy Awards), Vittoria Zinny, Franco Nero, Francesco di Leva; directors Gabriele Salvatores, Francesca Archibugi, Ginevra Elkann; producers Andrea Iervolino and Marco Cohen and Ezio Greggio as an unusual festival’s “godfather”. Other artists who took part to LA Italia 2020’s opening night include: Oscar winner author Nick Vallelonga (“Green Book”,) Bobby Moresco (“Crash”,) Barry Morrow (“Rain Man”) with Diane Warren (who’s running for her 11th Academy Award for the Best Song category,) Danny Huston, David O. Russell, Eli Roth, Robert Davi, Alex Meneses and Frank Stallone (a celebrated musician, brother to the legendary Sly).
In the next few days another Italian-American legend will be paid a tribute at the festival: Quentin Tarantino with the cast of his Oscar contender “Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood.”
