IN HOLLYWOOD AHEAD OF THE OSCARS, “WOMEN AID – THE SISTERHOOD OF WOMEN THROUGH MUSIC” ARRIVES AT LA, ITALIA 2026 — THE DOCUMENTARY CELEBRATING GLOBAL FEMALE SOLIDARITY THROUGH MUSIC

LOS ANGELES — The documentary “Women Aid – The Sisterhood of Women Through Music” was presented in Hollywood during the 21st edition of LA, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival, bringing to the international stage a powerful story of female solidarity, music and global artistic collaboration in the days leading up to the Academy Awards.

Directed by Daniele Biggiero, the film follows the journey of singer, composer and producer Valeria Altobelli, creator of the Women Aid project — an international initiative that combines music, live performances and social commitment to promote unity, empowerment and gender equality through artistic expression.

At the heart of the documentary is the story of The Muses, an international all-female band bringing together artists from different countries and musical traditions. Through their performances and collaborations, the project transforms music into a universal language capable of connecting cultures, voices and generations.

The film also retraces concerts and artistic events staged in significant locations around the world, including the Temples of Paestum and Metaponto in Italy and the Manatee Performing Arts Center in Florida, documenting the growth of the project into a global cultural platform dedicated to the celebration of women in music.

Among the highlights of the project is a special interpretation of the song “I’m Standing With You,” written by Academy Award-winning songwriter Diane Warren, performed with international artists including the renowned soprano Sumi Jo and composer John Debney. The song has become a powerful anthem of solidarity among women, involving performers from more than fifty countries.

Presented at LA, Italia 2026 in Hollywood, the documentary reflects the festival’s ongoing commitment to showcasing stories where music, cinema and social awareness intersect, celebrating artists who use creativity to promote dialogue, inclusion and cultural exchange on the global stage.
