
LOS ANGELES — The film “Sharks”, directed by Daniele Barbiero and starring James Franco, was presented in Hollywood during the 21st edition of LA, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival, bringing an ambitious international production to the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre.
Blending psychological tension and contemporary drama, “Sharks” explores the darker sides of ambition, power and human instinct, unfolding in a story where personal choices and hidden conflicts gradually emerge beneath the surface.
The presentation at LA, Italia 2026 highlighted the growing international dimension of Italian filmmakers working across borders and collaborating with global talent. With the presence of James Franco, the film attracted strong attention from audiences and industry professionals attending the festival during the week leading up to the Academy Awards.
The screening formed part of the festival’s program dedicated to showcasing new Italian productions and international collaborations, reinforcing the cultural bridge between Italy and Hollywood.
