Founded in 2011 in Rome by Andrea Iervolino and Lady Monika Bacardi, Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment S.p.A. (ILBE), already Iervolino Entertainment S.p.A, is a global film production company, specialized in producing content for television and the internet. Increasingly well received by international critics, ILBE productions are frequently welcome to important international festivals. In 2023, ILBE has participated at Rome Film Fest with Paradox Effect, starring Olga Kurylenko and Harvey Keitel; at Taormina Film Fest with In the Fire, starring Amber Heard; the Berlin International Film Festival with the documentary film Le Mura di Bergamo (The Walls of Bergamo); As executive production it participated at Venice Film Festival with Ferrari by Michael Mann starring Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz. ILBE received a nomination at the 2023 Academy Awards for “Applause”, song written by Diane Warren and interpreted by Sofia Carson, for the movie Tell it like a Woman, nominee for Best Original Song.
The company, listed in Euronext Growth Milan in 2019 and Paris in 2022, takes inspiration from Hollywood business model and is strongly oriented towards OTT contents. Since its foundation, ILBE has followed the business model adopted by American independent producers to realize movies, mainly oriented to an international audience. it focuses on the main production stages and IP properties, providing additional services such as celebrity advertising and management. Such choice is oriented to achieve two main goals: integration of the production chain and business diversification.
Among the main objectives of the company, there is the desire to promote Italian legacy and culture all around the world, supporting international projects that tell great Italian stories and involve great artists of the cinema Made In Italy.
ILBE Group counts on the collaboration of about 120 employees on a permanent contract and a number of independent professionals. Andrea Iervolino is the chairperson of ILBE Board of Directors. Lady Monika Bacardi, film producer, patron and philanthropist, is the CEO for Public Affairs, while Giorgio Paglioni is the CEO for Finance.
ILBE has acquired a number of Italian and International companies in order to promote and expand its business areas in the international entertainment market.
