The Exhibition and a New Naples recounts the art, urban planning, propaganda, wars, and transformations that accompanied the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples, a vast 72-hectare space created during Fascism as a modern exhibition center for Mediterranean cultures, particularly colonial ones. Conceived as a new, modern, tourist-friendly district, it featured striking art pavilions, thermal baths, a hippodrome, and a zoo.
