Forced by extreme poverty in Venezuela, young Carlos crosses the border into Colombia in search of a better future. The journey is dangerous and controlled by armed groups, but after surviving the crossing, he reaches a mountain town where he finds work as a delivery boy in a pastry shop, holding onto the hope of a new beginning.
