
LOS ANGELES – Earlier today, at the Italian Institute of Culture in Los Angeles, the documentary “Between Rome and Hollywood”, dedicated to the extraordinary career of Tony Renis, was presented as part of the program of LA, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival 2026, the renowned event that celebrates Italian creativity in the days leading up to Oscar Night.
The film retraces the remarkable journey of one of Italy’s most influential cultural ambassadors in the United States. From his international success as a singer and songwriter to his long-standing work as a producer and promoter of Italian culture in Hollywood, Tony Renis has played a key role in strengthening the artistic and cultural dialogue between Rome and Los Angeles.
Through archival footage, testimonies and rare materials, the documentary offers an intimate portrait of an artist whose career has crossed music, television and cinema, highlighting the many moments in which Renis contributed to bringing Italian talent to the global stage.
Presented within the framework of LA, Italia 2026, the event at the Italian Institute of Culture confirmed the festival’s mission of celebrating the figures who have helped build the bridge between the Italian and American entertainment industries.
The LA, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival, promoted by the Capri in the World Institute with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), continues its week of screenings, tributes and special events in Los Angeles in the lead-up to the Academy Awards.
