
LOS ANGELES — A special moment celebrating the connection between Italian culture and the global entertainment industry took place during LA, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival 2026 with the presence of Academy Award–winning director Taylor Hackford alongside legendary Hollywood talent manager Rick Nicita.
Hackford joined Nicita in Los Angeles during the festival to honor his extraordinary career and his lasting contribution to the international film and television industry. LA, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival, chaired by Raffaella De Laurentiis and Filippo Puglisi Aldovrandi, is promoted by the Capri in the World Institute with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). The festival continues to strengthen the cultural bridge between Italy and the United States, bringing together artists, filmmakers and industry leaders in Los Angeles during the week leading up to the Academy Awards.
