Davide, a boy from a good family—childlike eyes in an adult’s body—is kidnapped one night and locked inside the dark container of a truck. He becomes a prisoner of a mysterious organization that forces him to fight, bare-handed, in brutal underground combats that can only end one way: with the death of one of the two opponents.
In this ruthless and alien world, Davide must strip away his humanity to survive, following the instructions of Minuto, a jailer and trainer of other men with no hope or future. Yet, as time passes, a hidden bond emerges between the boy and the man—one that may be his only chance at salvation.
But even if escape from this prison is possible, there is no fleeing from fate or the consequences of one’s actions.
