Franco Nero’s prediction, made during the “SorrentoFFF 2024,” brought good luck to the film “Io Capitano”. The actor will be the one to welcome and honor Garrone and his amazing cast in Los Angeles: “Io Capitano is Oscar-worthy. This Italian masterpiece will compete along with the other films for the statuette in the category “Best International Feature”. I will personally welcome them and award them on Sunday, March 3 in Hollywood in the opening of the 19th edition of ‘Los Angeles, Italia – Film, Fashion, and Art Festival”.
This is how Franco Nero comments on the nomination of Io Capitano in his capacity as co-founder of the L.A. Italia Film Festival, the event that has preceded the Academy Awards Gala since 2006.
The Festival is organized with the collaboration of MiC (Dg Cinema) and Intesa Sanpaolo. It will be dedicated to the producer Marina Cicogna (co-founder of the manifestation) who was a sincere fan of Matteo since his debut.
