Producer Raffaella De Laurentiis will be the Chairperson of the Festival along with director Michelle Danner who will be the President of the “Los Angeles Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival”. The Event is scheduled at the Hollywood Chinese Theater March 3-9, on the immediate eve of the Oscars (Sunday, March 10).
The 19th edition of the most anticipated Italian film event abroad of the Awards season is promoted with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Intesa Sanpaolo and under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism with the participation of the Consulate General of Italy in L.A., the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) and the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles.
“It’s going to be a mostly female event in honor of the many Italian artists who are making their way in global cinema in the wake of our legendary co-founders Lina Wertmuller and Marina Cicogna,” says the Festival’s honorary president Tony Renis, emphasizing his satisfaction with the longevity of the happening founded and produced by Pascal Vicedomini with the Capri in the World Institute.
Daughter of Dino De Laurentiis and Silvana Mangano, Raffaella is among the most successful Italian producers in the world with films that have conquered international markets (Conan, Daylight) and is now preparing Peter Webber’s new film in France.
